Carter is a skilled accompanist in many styles and scenarios of music. His diverse musical background allows him to easily play many different styles of accompaniments and music at a moment's notice. His degree knowledge is a specialization in how to accompany all aspects of musical theatre, in situations varying from room size, to rehearsal/performance type, and by instrument. Carter's background as a dummer and percussionist allows him to establish a steady groove, that singer's ans dancers can easily embody. Carter has played outside of musical theatre and pop/rock scenarios, accompanying many styles of jazz, sacred choral music, non-sacred choral music, and gospel. He is also experienced in playing with string orchestras, wind ensembles, and chamber orchestras, in addition to general musical theatre pit work. Carter is adept at playing for masterclasses, workshops, auditions and accompanying private lessons. Organ accompaniment is also available, depending on the circumstances.
